EST tells us that truth is the only way to progress in life. Paige struggles with it, Gabriel feels deceived, Martha needs details of Gene’s murder, Arkady seeks the reasons for Dept. 12 while Baklanov and Nina lament the incomplete histories left behind for their loved ones. Stan is pushed to violence over a misinterpretation and demands the truth from Philip.
