This is season 1 review episode 109 of Halt and Catch Fire, “Up Helly Aa”. Team Cardiff heads to Las Vegas for COMDEX. We see their resourcefulness and teamwork when their credentials don’t work at the hotel. At COMDEX they learn about the “Slingshot”, Hunt’s direct clone of their Giant portable computer. Gordon makes the decision to speed up the Giant and reduce its cost by removing Cameron’s personalized OS. This angers Cameron, but the minimized Giant wins a big order from Computerland. Joe is completely awed by an early prototype of the Apple Macintosh.
